Ukulhas
Ukulhas is situated in the North Ari Atoll of Maldives with approximately a kilometer in length and less than half a kilometer in it’s width. The island is renown for its its environment friendly nature throughout Maldives and as well Ukulhas is well known for the local tourism, the island has been awarded the status of the best local tourism island in the Maldives. Ukulhas has an approximate population of around 1100 people including kids and all the age categories.
Geography
Ukulhas is close to the Northern boundary of Alif Alif Atoll, at 72° 51′ 52" E, 04° 12′ 54" N. The island is 71.68 km (45 mi; 39 nmi) west of the country's capital, Malé.[2] It is an oval-shaped, flat coral sand cay, oriented North-West to South-East, 1025 meters long, 225 meters wide, for an area of 17.4 hectares.[3][4]
Ukulhas Beach
The crystal clear lagoons and the while sandy
beach of the island gives a shine to the island unlike most of the islands
within this cluster of island in the North Ari Atoll. The surrounding vegetation
in the island gives an ideal privacy and the pleasing sensation to the eyes of
any who resides in the beach.

The island has several
guest houses, restaurant, dive centers, watersport and other amenities which
any traveler into these tropical local island can enjoy. Snorkeling, Manta Safari,
Diving, Sandbank visit, picnic island, sunset dinners and many other activities
of such nature can be enjoyed.
